I’m a strong advocate of WordPress as a website software, as you may have guessed. ? The reason being that it’s so simple to use that absolutely anyone can set up their own website using it, and there are many, many plugins and themes available.

A theme of your own is essential if you want to design a website that is unique to you. You should also consider a responsive theme which will adapt itself to all kinds of devices, large or small. If your site looks good, even on a small mobile phone, then that can only be beneficial for your business.

Most themes come with a basic setup, and you are going to have to work to get it how you want, but that is still so much easier than designing each and every page using a website design software. Once you have your theme up and running, it will wrap around the rest of the content automatically.

Some free themes may not have the features you want, so you may be looking at paying for one. That’s up to you, but until you’ve got the hang of WordPress and are 100% sure you want to use it for your website, stick with the free ones, just for now. If you are feeling adventurous, you could even have a go at designing your own. There are a few WordPress theme designers, though they are mostly paid. But once you have access, you can create unlimited themes. Here are the most well-known:
